This policy paper produced by the Sainbury Centre for Mental Health makes it clear that there is
an extensive body of evidence to show that there a significant difference in
the way Black African and Caribbean people who come into contact with mental
health services and the treatment they receive compared with the rest of the
population.
Authors point out the need to substantiate this hypothesis in detail and the policy paper should be seen as primarily illustrative. They also state that based on calculations presented the potential for re-allocating resources in a beneficial way if very substantial.
